Is the latest version of HP Image Zone Express available for Windows 8.1?
My original copy wouldn't transfer (which I used on Windows 2007), so I need to get another version.

HP Image Zone is no longer supported nor available for Windows 7 or Windows 8. The alternatives that you have in order to use this software are:

  1. Run the software in compatibility mode.
  2. Run the software in Windows XP mode through a virtual machine.

If you choose to run HP Image Zone in compatibility mode, then you should find the main .exe file or shortcut you use to launch the application, right click it and select Properties. After the Properties box has opened, click the Compatibility tab, then tick the box labelled Run this program in compatibility mode for and select Windows XP as the program was designed for this version of Windows.
If your choice is to run the software in Windows XP mode, you should follow the steps provided in the tutorial available on the following website:

You can install Windows XP on Windows 8 with the help of a virtualization solution. Install VirtualBox and use the following guide to create a virtual machine.

I've been using HP Image Zone Express for many years on the Windows platform but suddenly it stopped opening. Windows says that it would let me know when it finds a solution to the problem.

This is a classic scenario when the application gets corrupted. The only thing you can do is to reinstall the application. Go to Start > Control Panel > Uninstall a program. Locate the program in the list, then click Remove. When the options are presented, choose REPAIR (if it is available) and continue the procedure. The operation will place back all the original files and restore the functionality.

Is Image Express 1.5 compatible with Internet Explorer 7 on 64 bit? Can I use this software together with my PSC1510xi printer?

Answer by Leonard Moore

This software is a photo print utility. There isn't any limitation on using it together with Internet Explorer 7. Also, you can use this software with the printer that you currently own. But in order to do so, you will need to have your printer correctly set up on your computer (download and install the appropriate driver for it).

I have been successfully using Image Zone Express for years. I have always had a Canon camera. In the last 2 weeks, I bought an Olympus camera. Since installing pictures that were taken with the Olympus, I am unable to use Image Zone Express. I can edit my images, but I am unable to see the edited pictures in the file on the computer. I can see the edited pictures within Image Zone Express, but I can not access them in the computer. The error message states: No Preview Available. Even if I have just removed red eye, with no cropping, the image is no longer available for use.

"No Preview Available" issues can have multiple causes: the file is not supported, the image cannot be displayed due to an unknown error or the thumbs database is corrupted. Try reloading the application or even installing it again. On the other hand, the application is developed to work with images that may come from different sources. In this case, the camera has nothing to do with the application.
